As your coach, I partner with you in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential.
The process of coaching unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.
I will ask you lots of questions during our coaching sessions that you may not be able to answer right away. The questions are meant to plant seeds of ideas for you to move forward. You will choose which of these ideas you’d like to move forward with and we will create accountability to reach those goals.
We will creatively explore perspectives on situations that you are experiencing and identify what is most important so that you can stay focused.
Get updates on new ways to refocus and re-ignite your leadership.
Coaching is a safe and supportive space but it is not always comfortable. It is meant to challenge and grow you.
I believe that you are naturally creative and resourceful and that you know the best way forward for yourself. Coaching is meant to uncover the best parts of you that you may have forgotten along the way. Together we will playfully explore what has worked for you in the past and what you need to let go of to move forward with confidence.
In coaching sessions I will:
Hold you accountable for things you said you would do between sessions
Explore your topic for coaching
Find ways you can immediately get into action toward your accomplishing your goals
How long is a coaching engagement?
Coaching is meant to take place over a period of at least 6-months. During this time you will encounter bumps in the road and with coaching support, you will be able to experiment with new ways to respond and adapt. Behavior change takes time.
We will meet at a regular cadence to create accountability and structure for you to move forward. Between sessions there will be a new behavior to try or a new goal to achieve. This challenges you to continue forward momentum and to try new things to find the way forward that is best for you.
To set up a coaching engagement for success, we will begin with these steps:
Discuss assumptions and expectations about coaching to establish trust so that we can openly explore the topics that are important to you
Review your overall goals for caoching and get clarity on how you will know when you’ve reached them.
Decide on the cadence of coaching and how you’d like to be held accountable for putting into action the commitments you make.
How do I know if you are the right coach for me?
Schedule a consultation call with me! I will answer any questions you have about coaching and give you a sample of what coaching will be like with me. It’s important that you and I both feel that we are a good fit for each other.
What Clients Are Saying About My 1:1 Leadership Coaching...
“I was excited about working with Michelle because of her creative and curious approach to leadership development. She was always willing to explore new styles and directions of leadership with me to see which ones worked best for me. A pivotal moment for me was realizing that I can approach my own development as a series of small micro-improvements to create my own authentic leadership style. I also have a new framework for giving and receiving feedback that is useful. Feedback doesn’t have to feel bad or earth shattering. Michelle is an incredible listener and deeply empathetic. While she is easy to talk to, she also isn’t afraid to push you – to probe deeper, to pause and reflect, to hold you accountable to what you said. She is the perfect blend of candid and kind, which is what makes her such a fantastic coach.``
