What is Experiential Training and Learning?

The best leadership training uses an experiential learning model where participants discover and experiment with knowledge first hand instead of hearing or reading information.

This means no powerpoint! We strengthen each participant’s expertise through real-life experience, observation, and experimentation.

Our trainings focus on:

  • Building trust and collaboration
  • Understanding and harnessing a team’s unique strengths
  • Developing better communication skills
  • Creating a culture of candor, feedback, integrity and accountability

It takes time to create change and building trust between team members and leaders is the key. For this reason, I will always advocate for a series of trainings over time so that people can work with each other in new ways and be accountable to discovering what worlds and what doesn't. Change takes time.

During our initial conversation, we will talk about what has you wanting training for your organization and what results you are looking for. From there, I will propose a training program that makes sense for your team and organization.

When appropriate for team development engagements, I partner with experienced colleagues who also bring coaching and leadership development expertise and who share a strengths based strategy.

What Clients Are Saying About My Team Training...

    Avatar

Our team spent a day with Janice and Michelle. Within minutes, they had created an open and comfortable environment for the team, and kept that spirit alive the whole day. We were able to actively practice coaching techniques in a safe space, and left not only with new tools as leaders but also with a better understanding of one another. What I most appreciated was a focus on creating a common language of coaching for Blakely, while also keeping and respecting our differing approaches as individuals. It was authentic and real. Many of us have already begun to practice and implement the tools and skills we learned.``
